To reserve your date, we require a signed agreement and a retainer. From there, we'll guide you through each step, making the process simple and enjoyable from the very beginning.

What happens after we inquire?

Every story begins with a conversation.

Once you've submitted your inquiry, we'll arrange a private Zoom meeting where we'll get to know one another. We believe it's important to personally meet every client before working together, giving us the opportunity to learn about your story, answer your questions, and ensure we're the right fit for one another.

This conversation is never rushed or sales-focused. It's the first step in building trust and understanding what's most important to you.

From there, we'll guide you through every stage of the experience—from planning your session to your Story Reveal and the final delivery of your artwork. Throughout the process, you'll have thoughtful touchpoints with us, so you'll always know what comes next and feel supported every step of the way.

Do you travel?

We're based in Toronto and happily travel wherever your story takes us.

Travel within 50km’s from Toronto is included.

For destinations beyond the GTA, a custom travel quote will be provided during your consultation.

What happens if we need to reschedule?

Life happens, and we understand that plans can change.

Portrait sessions are planned with the weather in mind, and whenever possible we'll discuss a backup date during your consultation. If unexpected circumstances arise, simply let us know as soon as possible and we'll work together to find the best solution.

How do you help us if we're nervous?

You don't need any experience in front of the camera.

Most of our clients tell us they're nervous at first, and that's completely normal. We'll gently guide you when needed, give you space when moments naturally unfold, and help you feel comfortable long before you're thinking about the camera.

How many photographs will we receive?

I'm glad you asked. Every story unfolds differently, so we don't promise a fixed number of photographs.

During your consultation, we'll talk about how you hope to enjoy your photographs—whether that's creating a handcrafted album, displaying artwork in your home, or building a digital collection. Understanding your vision allows us to photograph your session with purpose, ensuring every image contributes to the story you're preserving.

Rather than working toward a specific number, we carefully curate the strongest moments into a gallery that feels complete, meaningful, and beautifully suited to how you'll enjoy your photographs for years to come.

Can we include our pet?

Often, yes.

We love meeting furry family members! If you'd like your pet to join your session, let us know during your consultation so we can plan accordingly and make sure it's the right fit for everyone involved.

Can we take our own photos or videos?

We kindly ask that you don't.

These sessions are designed as an unplugged experience, allowing you to be fully present with the people you're sharing the moment with.

Trust us—your memories are richer when you're living them instead of documenting them.

When will our photographs be ready?

Every gallery is thoughtfully edited by hand to ensure it reflects the care and artistry of your experience.

Portrait galleries are typically delivered within 2 weeks, while weddings and events are delivered within 8 weeks.

If you've selected heirloom albums, wall art, or fine art prints, additional retouching is available upon request for the images chosen for those pieces.

How will we receive our photographs?

Your photographs are first presented during your private Story Reveal—a guided virtual appointment where we'll experience your gallery together for the very first time.

Together, we'll relive your story, see how your photographs have come to life, and finalize the artwork, albums, and digital collection we've thoughtfully planned for since your consultation. We'll answer any questions, help refine your selections if needed, and ensure everything is perfectly suited to your home and the way you want to enjoy your memories.

Because these decisions are often made together, we recommend that everyone involved in choosing your photographs and artwork be present. Setting aside uninterrupted time allows you to fully enjoy the experience and make your final selections with confidence.

Once everything is confirmed, your artwork will be carefully prepared for production, and any purchased digital collection will be available to download through your private online gallery.

Can I purchase only digital photographs?

Absolutely.

Digital collections are available for those who wish to preserve and archive their memories in a versatile, lasting format—perfect for sharing with loved ones and safely storing for future generations.

Many families, however, choose to complement their digital collection with handcrafted albums or artwork. While digital photographs preserve your story, printed pieces invite you to experience it every day, transforming meaningful moments into part of your home and your family's legacy.

During your consultation and Story Reveal, we'll help you find the collection that feels right for you, with no pressure—only thoughtful guidance based on how you'd like to enjoy your photographs for years to come.

Most families choose a collection that includes both digital photographs and heirloom artwork, allowing their memories to be enjoyed every day rather than stored away on a device.

Do you provide RAW files?

No.

Your finished gallery reflects the care and artistry that are part of the Neluka experience.

Just as an artist wouldn't present an unfinished painting, we only deliver completed photographs that represent our work and vision.

Can I view full galleries before booking?

Absolutely.

While you'll find highlights throughout our website, we also encourage you to explore our Stories. They show complete sessions and weddings from beginning to end, giving you a better sense of how a full experience unfolds and helping you imagine your own story.
