Winter Wedding at Ascott Parc Event Centre | Concord, Ontario

Some weddings are simply unforgettable.

This February celebration at Ascott Parc Event Centre in Concord, Ontario was one of them—partly because it happened in a very real -18°C Toronto winter, and partly because this couple brought an energy all their own.

Inside or outside, they were completely game.

Their day had all the familiar wedding moments—a heartfelt ceremony, cake cutting, garter toss and plenty of dancing—but nothing about it felt cookie-cutter. There was room for personality, playfulness and plenty of laughter.

One had the quick wit and prankster charm. The other was the perfect good sport, taking every joke and toast in stride.

Together, they made it very easy to photograph what was happening naturally.

And then there was the party.

With DJ BB Blanc behind the music, the dance floor stayed alive from the first beat to the last. The whole celebration felt less like following a prescribed wedding timeline and more like watching two people fully enjoy the day they had created.

That is exactly the kind of wedding we love photographing.

Not just the big moments, but the laughter between them. The unexpected. The ridiculous. The quiet. The people who came to celebrate with you.

And yes, -18°C.

They stepped outside anyway.

Because sometimes the conditions become part of the story—and years from now, that photograph will say more than “we got married in February.”

The best wedding photographs aren't always the ones you planned.

They're the ones that bring you straight back to how it felt—the people, the laughter, the weather, the ridiculous little moments and the people you were surrounded by.

This day had plenty of all of it.

A Little More of the Story

Some weddings follow the plan. Others become the story. This one became a pretty great one.
